Get to know Ally.
Ally Thomas (she/her) is a New York City-based theatre artist and educator from Tampa, Florida. She is an actor and creator of stories about unapologetic uniqueness. Her work is nostalgic and honest and promotes self-acceptance for folks of all body shapes, sizes, and abilities.
Ally has acted with American Stage Theatre Company, Jewish Ensemble Theatre, The Ritz Theatre, Tampa Rep, and Eight O’ Clock Theatre. She teaches, facilitates, and directs drama programs at theatres and community organizations such as Florida Repertory Theatre, American Stage, The Graham School, and Sarah Lawrence College Civic Engagement programs. She fosters community in the classroom through ensemble building and creates a space in which students know they have stories worth sharing.
Ally is pursuing an MFA in Theatre at Sarah Lawrence College and holds a BA in Theatre from Samford University, and a Graduate Certificate in New Play Performance from Hollins University. Her current projects include creating original work for Sarah Lawrence's monthly show, Grad Lab: Experiments in Theatre.
